Where it fits in the series
Roadhouse Simulator is a standalone prelude to Gas Station Simulator, following Uncle — the same character — back when he takes charge of a rundown roadside bar on Route 66. The store page calls it standalone, so you do not need Gas Station Simulator to play it.
The development history explains a lot of the game's content. What became Roadhouse Simulator started as Shady Deals, a DLC pitch for Gas Station Simulator. It grew too large to stay a DLC — DRAGO's devlog notes that the more systems the pub needed, the less sense it made as an add-on — and was rebuilt as its own game: new code, and roughly 90% of assets created or remade from scratch. Some things survived the transition: All The Dots, the gangs, and Octane, who was Uncle's mentor in the old project and became the "Roadhouse Godfather" in this one.

How much interest the launch had
Third-party analytics site Gamalytic estimated about 40,400 outstanding wishlists and roughly 170 wishlist adds per day in the final days before launch, with a Steam global top-wishlist rank around #1,300. Those are third-party estimates, not Valve numbers, and they will drift fast now that the game is out.
What we can measure ourselves: in the seven days before launch, YouTube search returned roughly 4,700 videos matching the game's name, including creator videos in the 20k–100k view range across English, Italian, Russian, Hungarian and Indonesian channels. The coverage wave was real before release, which matters more than the wishlist number for how quickly a game's search demand forms.
Where the free versions sit
- Roadhouse Simulator - Prologue (free, May 19, 2026, app 4417950) — the pre-story, and after its content update it plays close to the core loop.
- Roadhouse Simulator Demo (free, August 13, 2026, app 4704270) — the bar end-to-end with more beer types, police pressure and the Hype meter.
